Barb’s love of writing and encouraging others through faith led her to begin sharing devotionals and reflections rooted in Scripture and everyday life. Those early writings became part of a much larger journey—one that eventually led to her first devotional book, Where He Goes, I Follow.

About the Author!
Barb Novad is a wife, mother, and devoted follower of Christ whose life has been marked by both creativity and faith. She is also the author of a small booklet called ADHD Times Two, written under her radio name, Barb Allen.
Barb attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh before going on to broadcasting school. She spent a decade working on radio, as well as in local television, before returning to her graphic design roots, building a career of more than twenty-five years in marketing/digital design.
Her faith journey deepened during a season when she found herself searching for greater purpose and clarity. Through grief, caregiving, and personal health struggles—experiences that revealed God’s sustaining presence in powerful ways—her relationship with Christ grew stronger. What began as personal reflections and church bulletin devotionals has grown into a calling to encourage others through writing.
Barb lives with her husband. Together, they raised three sons and welcomed a daughter-in-law into their family. She remains passionate about studying Scripture and helping others see God’s hand at work in their everyday lives.
